Indian IPR is attracting the international attention…….but, more way to go…..
A mega boost for India's ranking in the US chamber Intellectual Property index:
A significant and marked improvement in the India's intellectual property innovation friendliness to innovation has been identified by the US Chamber of Commerce. The Global Innovation Policy Centre (GIPC) has ranked India 44th of the 50 economies. The benchmark indicators were activities critical to invention related to patent, trademark, copyright and trade secrets protection.
The performances were attributed to: Computer Related Inventions (CRI) guidelines removing the novel hardware requirement, addressing patent pendency with 459 additional patent examiners, reforms to clear trademark backlogs and expanding the list of well-known trademarks. Several other factors like to strengthen the patentability environment for technological innovations, and initiated awareness about IP programs. This also marks the implementation of some of the tenets of the 2016 National IPR policy.
This has come as an icing on the cake whereby India has ranked higher in World Bank's Doing Business, World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Index as compared to its emerging market peers.
See what our customer Vobium Mr.Vikram wants to say about us
I wholeheartedly thank the entire team of Makhija for the successful registration of my trademark Vobium and other Brands. It was an insightful experience right from the inception of the name, a brainstorming discussion while choosing the brand name, filing the application, handling the objections and the final registration. I can definitely say that Makhija and associates is an excellent platform for the organizations which is based upon trust and there is much more for the startups too. I think the organization does an amazing job.
Just before conclude, the tip of the day is “win the branding habits, win the industry”.
